The Campaign for The People's Reformation
For Government Of, By, and For The People
This campaign is not to support any partisan political party or to promote any individual for "president," nor to establish another partisan political party. That would merely be part of the problem or create another part of the problem, rather than part of the solution. For what America needs is a comprehensive reformation of government, and we need to render the presidential form of monarchy and the divisive competition for the throne obsolete, because it will never produce government of, by and for the people. What it produces is conflict and division, and the fact is that a house divided against itself cannot stand.
After all, the U.S.Government has come under fire for a long time and criticism has increased during the last few decades for good reason. However, even though in certain respects the American political economic system is deeply flawed, corrupt and in large part responsible for much of the world's problems, it can be fixed, and America can become a good example to the world.
However, as you can read in the related articles listed in the sidebar menu, partisan politics and the divisive competition for the throne is not the way to fix it. If it was, it would be fixed by now. Instead, it is more broken than ever and the American Dream has been shattered by the forces of greed and self-interest.
Fortunately, the Founders of the U.S.A. and the Framers of its Constitution declared that the people have the right and the duty to alter and reform their government as needed, because they understood that any government, even one based on a sound foundation with a cornerstone of equality, freedom and liberty, can go wrong and neglect the interests of the people in favor of the wealthiest few and at the expense of the majority.
The U.S. Government has gone wrong and neglects the interests of the people, and all three branches of the federal government are to blame because they have either ignored the U.S. Constitution or misinterpreted it, and they have clearly ignored the very clear intent of America's Founders and the Framers of the Constitution.
That, in fact, is why the Framers wisely built in a provision in Article 5 of the Constitution, to enable us, the people, to establish new or revised amendments to alter and reform our government whenever it no longer serves in our best interests. And they made it very clear that it is our right and duty to do so.
That should have been done long ago, and it has become increasingly imperative because America is deeply divided, polarized and in conflict because of partisan politics. And even though partisan politicians claim that if you vote for them and their party they will serve everyone, it is not true. They are partisans, and while they suit themselves and their partisan political party, in recent decades both major parties have increasingly served the interests of the wealthiest few and their giant banks, corporations, financial institutions and industries, while paying lip service to serving "all the people."
Here is a truth Americans need to face: A house and a nation divided against itself cannot stand.
The partisan political system creates and perpetuates conflict, division and polarization, and it creates a presidential form of monarchy and a Congress that is more like an oligarchy and even a plutocracy and a theocracy than a representative legislative body. Consequently, America does not have government of, by, and for the people. It has government of, by, and for the wealthy few, regardless of which party has majority. And America has yet to be truly united in common purpose, and it has yet to use the common wealth for the common good.
Now it is time to face the fact that when a government serves the interests of the wealthiest few at the expense of the vast majority, it is the right of the people to alter and reform that government.
This campaign, therefore, is for the People. It is not to promote any individual who wants to play king or queen -- aka president and pretender to the throne (though until the Reformation we should elect the most progressive democratic candidate for president). It is to promote a way that we may all in a sense share the power of the throne as equal joint heirs to our divine inheritance.
It is a campaign to promote a People's Reformation in America, to put an end to partisan politics and the presidential form of monarchy, and establish government that is truly of the people, by the people, and for the people.
This campaign recognizes that Americans must clean up their own house in order to prevent America from continuing to fall and go the way of many powerful military industrial empires that crumbled due to the corruption of their leaders, their abuse of power, their favoritism of the rich, and their careless and heartless attitude toward the poor and the least of our brethren.
This campaign advocates citizen's initiatives to establish new amendments to the U.S. Constitution utilizing provisions the Founders and Framers provided in Article 5, as spelled out in the article about The 21st Century Declaration of Independence. Thus we can establish and ensure our full and equal rights, establish truly representative government, put an end to the rule of money, and put an end to the divisive partisan political competition for the throne -- because our destiny is to share the power and the common wealth of the nation, and use it for the common good.
Edification, counsel, vision and a plan have been provided by the message on this site in many different articles, but you may want to educate yourself about the wisdom and benefits of non-violent political action. For more tips and information on non-violent political action, read the speeches of Martin Luther King, Jr., and Mahatma Gandhi. Also visit A Force More Powerful, and the International Center on Nonviolent Conflict. Also visit Global Nonviolent Action Database. For the only way to conquer the warlord "beast" is to take his power away from him, understanding that his power comes not only from his paid armed forces, but also from your tacit consent to live under his rule.
Also keep in mind that in an interview in The Nation , Erica Chenoweth, a leading scholar of authoritarian regimes, says that her research shows that nonviolent campaigns were nearly twice as effective as armed campaigns over the past century. In her book, Why Civil Resistance Works, she compiled 323 cases of nonviolent and violent campaigns in order to assess which were more successful in achieving their stated goals of regime change. Chenoweth says that along with using nonviolent campaigns or movements, the most effective variable in toppling a dictator is the number of people participating in a movement. She also concludes that many more people—and more diverse groups of people—participate in nonviolent campaigns than in activities perceived to be violent, and this means nonviolence is not merely a moral choice for an individual, but a strategic necessity for a movement.
This message suggests that the first steps toward our liberation and empowerment are to:
1) wage grass roots local education campaigns to expose the hypocritical and bigoted forces of greed and self-interest, and to inform or remind friends of what the actual intent of America's Founders and the actual intent of Jesus of Nazareth and other great spiritual teachers really were, which was to establish a peaceful, prosperous, happy, tranquil society and nation (and even a family of nations) that will use the common wealth for the common good;
2) take political action in a variety of ways, including but not limited to using word of mouth, email and social media among friends to spread the word, free assembly demonstrations in public spaces such as in open parks and in other appropriate public spaces, obtaining permits if needed, Freedom Marches (such as the Women's March on Washington on January 21, 2017 and similar mass marches prior to that), Sit Ins, and other non-violent tactics such as those recommended by Martin Luther King, Jr. Then, when the word has been spread widely and when the time is right, utilizing petition processes to create citizen's initiatives to establish state ballot measures so that the people can officially register their desires and demands; and also voicing our desires and demands in town hall meetings and other public forums;
3) to take such public political actions to sufficiently inform, encourage and motivate enough people to be able to get enough people to join the movement to convince enough state and federal legislators of the need and inevitability of bringing about an Article 5 Constitutional Convention to adopt The 21st Century Declaration of Independence (or a revised or better version of it, if one is created).
4) help to spread and promote the message by downloading MP3 files of the songs of the messenger from his music page, and any funds received will help in promotion.
Those steps we can take to bring about a legal and peaceful reformation of government, at least. (A Reformation of Religion is a different and private matter, and it will probably happen very gradually as the clergy of religions get the message and realize the extent to which their teachings have failed to emphasize the Universal Divine Imperative or Golden Rule.)
If enough people join together in this effort --- which is not to exalt any individual "great leader," nor build any official political organization, but instead through a purely populist grass roots movement to liberate and empower the people with government of, by and for the people --- then state and federal legislators will recognize and acknowledge the will of the people and meet our demands so that we can finally establish the kind of government we want and need.
What You Can Do
There are other things you can do besides what was suggested above. This campaign is to promote the idea of a Campaign for The People's Reformation -- and there are many ways to promote it, as are described above. However, this campaign is to promote the idea of a Reformation -- and there are many ways to promote it, as are described in the article about the Declaration. But let us consider another way as well.
Another way would be to use the write-in space on your ballot in in elections, if you have a ballot in your state. That is not to suggest that you should not vote for any of the presidential candidates on the ballot. We still need to have an interim president in place to ensure continuity until the Reformation is accomplished, and voters should choose the least divisive, most honest, most fair, most compassionate and most progressive choice presented to us.
However, writing in "People's Reformation" in the write in space as well will send a message and state your desire, and it would not cancel your vote for the candidate you choose because you would not be writing in the name of a person.
That, of course, is just another way to send a message. We can also take action either though a petition process to create citizen's initiatives and establish state ballot measures so that the people can officially register their demands. We can also voice our demands in peaceful public assembly in open parks and in other appropriate public spaces, obtaining permits if needed, and standing proudly without wearing hoods or masks. And ultimately, whether it's using the citizen's initiative process or the write-in ballot or public demonstration or all of them and more (such as email, social media, letters to the Editor and letters to legislators), we the people can persist until our numbers are so great that state and federal legislators recognize and acknowledge our power and meet our demands so that we can finally utilize Article 5 of the Constitution to establish the kind of government we want and need.
We can initiate the process, raise awareness, and get legislators on board. We can even work toward inspiring and encouraging the 40 percent of eligible voters who usually don't bother to vote to become involved, because that would make a tremendous difference.
Furthermore, if there are exits polls being taken where you vote, tell them that you wrote in or are in favor of the People's Reformation.
If enough voters do that, it will send a strong signal that we want to reform the political-economic system in the U.S.A., per the article on The 21st Century Declaration of Independence: How America Can Become a Truly Good Example to the World. It provides the rationale and blueprint for the People's Reformation. And the article titled Real Democracy Is Coming to the U.S.A. discusses more and provides elaboration.
Then, after the Reformation, or in the process of the Reformation, we can establish new innovative ways to vote and count votes, so that we can "write-in" or register our choices in ways that would not be subject to tampering.
What Else You Can Do
To express your desire for a People's Reformation to establish the Real American Dream and a truly Democratic Republic, you can spread the word about this campaign by telling your friends, but do not push it.
When the number of people in favor grows, you can also join others in peaceful assembly in public parks or other appropriate spaces, stand up and speak out for your equal rights and freedoms, and demonstrate that you are in favor of a People’s Reformation. Inform the media of any planned events, and make sure that no demonstrator wears a hood or a mask. (We must prevent thugs or anarchists or right-wing infiltrators from causing trouble and giving the movement a bad name. They've been getting away with it, and the media has unwittingly been duped into blaming the good demonstrators for trouble when the trouble is caused by trouble makers and anarchists).
You can create and display bumper stickers with "People's Reformation" on them. And you can spread the word about this message in any other way you can.
If enough of us do that, we will be able to get started on the way to establishing the Real American Dream and a fair, new and improved system to determine who represents us at the highest level of government.
Rationale and methodology for this citizen's initiative is provided in many other articles, such as:
It’s Up to You
The message shows you why you should and how you can reform your religions and governments, and establish governments that are truly of the people, by the people, and for the people — governments that will respect all peaceful and unifying religions as equal according to the laws of the land.
Understand religious scriptures in their historical context, and realize that while the words of all divinely inspired servants of God speak of the need to demand fairness, equity and justice for all, they also include advice that essentially says that only love will overcome hate, only good will overcome evil, only truth will overcome falsehoods, and the meek shall inherit the earth, make peace, and turn “swords into plowshares.”
If you choose to demonstrate, assemble peacefully (obeying all laws and ordinances) in brief demonstrations to request the leaders of your local and national governments to abide by the will of God and the people.
Be good citizens and initiate the process prescribed in Article 5 of the Constitution by which you may establish new amendments to the Constitution to alter and reform your government so that it actually represents you and serve in the best interests of the general public.
Join us in becoming politically active in a fair, new, peaceful, unifying way. For divided we are falling, and we the people can save our country and our world only if we reconcile, cooperate, collaborate, and work together, for the sake of all of our children, their children, and all the generations to come.
However, an even more important observation is that even though the New Left as a whole did establish many improvements and accomplished many of their goals, many of those improvements and goals have been diminished or negated during the last 32 years by a highly successful Right-Wing Neo-Conservative Reaganite Movement that won power by cunningly but falsely declaring a "Constitutional" mandate and feigning patriotism and religiosity.
In other words, a "patriotic" New Right rose up in the late 1970s and 1980s, which was part of a "Religious Right," and their political ideology completely took over America during the last 32 years as it fought to not only negate the New Left's legacy, but also destroy President Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal.
