The Greatest People
The greatest people are known for their good works, which they do not for the sake or personal reward or glorification, but for the benefit of humanity as a whole.
The greatest people are unassuming, humble, gentle, kind and peaceful. And some of the greatest people the ones who use their talents, skills and positive passion to produce good works for the enjoyment and edification and benefit of all humanity through art, through music and song, through poetry, through literature, and through movies.
Some of the greatest people may not be as talented or skilled or educated, and may not seem great, but humbly live their lives doing good work for the benefit of society. They are the ones who are grateful for what they have, take pride in jobs well done, knowing that it takes all kinds of people doing all kinds of jobs in order to make society work.
If enough human beings on the planet had merely learned from the greatest people of the past and present, the world would be a far better place.
The trouble is, too many people have not learned from the greatest people. Too many people have NOT learned from literature or poetry or art or movies or songs. Too many people have not learned the lessons of history.
Too many people have instead listened to those who pretend to be the greatest but are self-important and self-righteous and seek and fight for personal power and authority, and for wealth and domain.
Too many people have also listened to hypocrites who claim to do many wonderful works in the name of the Lord, or in the name of God and Country. And, because they are hypocrites who serve themselves and "Mammon" rather that God or Country, the people are polarized and divided, forced to fight for power over each other.
Therefore, it is time that everyone finally understands that a house or nation divided against itself cannot stand. For too many people are misled and divided because they do not understand that the greatest leaders are those who lead by example, and show the way.
That is not to say that no political or religious leaders have been or are among the greatest people. In fact, some are because they actually want to represent and serve all the people, and they are trying very hard to establish fairness, harmony, mutual respect, justice, and peace.
But, alas, some do not. Some political and religious leaders do the opposite. So we must ask: Who cannot see that the proud and militant forces of greed and self-interest fight dirty and even try to deceive you in order to gain or regain power?
Further we must ask: Who cannot see that regardless of which partisan political party is in power, our political economic system works not for us in the vast majority, but mainly for the wealthiest few?
That is why The 21st Century Declaration of Independence is so very necessary in order to bring about a reformation that will enable us to choose good leadership and change and save the world, for all our sake, and for the sake of God.
People who want to reform their governments should adopt it. And that includes the "Occupy" movement in the U.S., because there are some very wealthy and powerful forces trying to stop it by discrediting and besmirching it. In fact, they have hired masked goons to cause trouble in some cities to make the movement seem bad, and some television news outlets in some cities have focused on the trouble rather than on what the movement is really about.
This video shows the better side, the majority side of the Occupy Movement, which is peaceful but feels it necessary to protest and demonstrate their resentment of the inequitable political economic system Reaganism has wrought.
