Introduction
We are divided and in conflict, and what we've been witnessing and experiencing is systems failure -- the failure of political, legal, economic and religious systems and institutions that have become corrupted by Man.
But take heart. It's not the end of the world. It's the end of an age. Things will get better. The pen will prove mightier than the sword, the truth will prevail over all the false beliefs that divide us, and the humble, gentle, peaceful and meek majority shall inherit the earth.
You see, according to world prophecies, it was foreseen long ago that the terrible predicament and horrible tribulation from which we suffer would precede an interceding judgment.
According to prophecies, the judgment is delivered by a certain man. The problem is, as was prophesied by Isaiah and Jesus, he sends his work before him but is rejected by his generation, and that's because he is not what people have been led to expect.
For example, many people expect him to be a conquering hero and "holy king," but an accurate interpretation of the most specific prophecies is that he is neither. He is not holy and he is only human, and contrite. He cannot seek worldly personal power. He delivers his work but it is rejected so long he fears all his work is in vain, and he suspects and fears he will probably die before the world gets the message.
He is principal messenger for the Spirit of truth, but he is a man of sorrows and well acquainted with grief, and he is your fellow companion in tribulation. He knows that all he can do is tell the truth and deliver the message to liberate and empower the people, and he knows that the promised judgment cannot be imposed. The people, many of whom have been made aware of the message, need to recognize it for what it is.
His own generation not only rejects him. Many even despise him. Nevertheless, he knows in his heart and soul that his work is with God, and he remains faithful even if it's unto death, as Isaiah foresaw and foretold.
He know what will save the world is not a man, nor a son of man, but God's honest truth that will liberate and empower the people by providing a way that they may finally have government of, by, and for the people. And he trusts that as soon as enough people get the message it will provide the judgment, intervention and intercession that was promised, and open the door to a brighter future.
He knows America can finally become a good and effective example to the world, with government that uses the common wealth for the common good, promotes the general welfare ensures equal opportunities, equal rights and justice for all, and treats all religions, all nationalities, all races and all cultures as equal.
He knows we need not be ruled be an absurdly wealthy few. But as it is, the wealthiest few in America own 95 percent of the total wealth of the nation, while eighty percent of Americans own only five percent -- because those who have more than enough are able to take more and more, while those who don't have enough consequently have less and less.
The "Religious Right” in America falsely claims that Jesus meant it to be that way, and since 1981 they have been claiming that the wealthy are blessed by God and the poor deserve to be poor. But the truth is that they have turned Christianity up-side-down. And, because they are Theocrats to boot, we are divided and polarized by those who fight for power over each other in a winner-take-all partisan political system fueled by money and driven by greed.
Despite that, we can and will finally fulfill the real American Dream, at long last — just as soon as the truth prevails over the falsehoods, myths and divisive, misleading and deceptive rhetoric that now divides us and produces such bitter conflict and polarization.
We, the people, can make the dream come true because America’s government was founded on three essential ideals. One is that government should operate only by consent of the governed, another is that the people can and should alter and reform their government when it does not serve their interests, and the other is that government should promote the general welfare, ensure justice for all the people, and ensure freedom of religion by being neutral regarding religions and respecting all as equal.
In other words, we need not be ruled be an absurdly wealthy few. But as it is, the wealthiest 20 percent of Americans own 95 percent of the total wealth of the nation, while eighty percent own only five percent of the wealth. That utterly unfair and it is a recipe for disaster, and it is because we are divided and polarized by those who fight for power over each other in a winner-take-all partisan political system fueled by money.
We can change that. We can finally fulfill the real American Dream, at long last. In fact, the real American Dream will be fulfilled — just as soon as the truth prevails over the falsehoods, myths and divisive, misleading and deceptive rhetoric that now divides us and produces such bitter conflict and polarization.
We, the people, can not only make the dream come true. We can do it peacefully, because America’s government was founded on three essential ideals. One is that government should operate only by consent of the governed, another is that the people can and should alter and reform their government when it does not serve their interests, and the other is that government should promote the general welfare, ensure justice for all the people, and ensure freedom of religion by being neutral regarding religions and respecting all as equal.
That is why Thomas Jefferson wrote: "Religion is a matter which lies solely between man and his God; that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship; that the legislative powers of the government reach actions only, and not opinions." Therefore, “I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should 'make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,' thus building a wall of separation between church and State."
That is why Abraham Lincoln later said: "The principles of Jefferson are the axioms of a free society."
It is now crucial to understand why government must promote the general welfare, religious tolerance, peace, freedom, liberty, democracy, and equal opportunity and justice for all people.
This message is crucial, because America, like many other nations in our world, is in this terrible state of conflict, division and tribulation because a very old and basic conflict persists between two very different attitudes and mentalities.
Curiously, one mentality is dominant even though it is in the distinct minority, but it has been that way throughout most of human history because it generates pride, greed, aggressiveness, and even militancy.
That minority mentality has been and is dominant because the majority attitude and mentality is that of relatively selfless, humble people who tend to be gentle, kind, generous, and peaceful. In fact, they could be and have been called "meek."
That's because good people tend to try to refrain from retaliation or protest, and they are usually willing to suffer while abuses and offenses seem bearable, rather than "cause trouble." They tend to be respectful, tolerant, helpful and understanding. They are often inspired to be creative, cooperative and collaborative. And the best of them are known for doing good works that are to the benefit of all people and for the common good.
The other attitude and mentality, even though in the minority, is dominant because those who adopt it not only tend to be proud, aggressive, and even assertive, forceful and militant. They are that way because they are rather egocentric, self-important and self-righteous people who are driven by self-interest and even by greed (although they would call it "natural ambition").
The problem is that the greedy people also tend to exploit and take advantage of the meek who they consider as “weaker” people. The greedy people believe they are stronger and superior, and they believe they are entitled to rule.
They feel no shame whatsoever for feeling superior and entitled to rule, whether it's because of their egocentric sense of superior judgment, or their wealth or strength or religion or race or culture. And many of them see nothing wrong in exploiting other people and even discriminating against other people in order to feel superior and to gain personal power, wealth, and domain.
Not that there is anything wrong with having great wealth, if and when it is fairly earned and deserved. However, there is something very wrong about being greedy and selfish, lusting for money so much that profiting unjustly at the expense of others becomes "just business" and deemed justifiable.
The greedy and selfish attitude and mentality has been chronically problematic throughout human history, and it is particularly so now. So, how do we deal with it? How can the humble and meek inherit the earth when the greedy, proud and militant fight and even kill for power?
The Good News
According to most of the prophecies of the world, the humble, gentle, kind, generous, peaceful and meek people of the world shall indeed inherit the earth.
However, in order for the humble and meek to inherit the earth, the proud and militant few and the political and religious leaders of this world who think they are entitled to rule must be exposed, rebuked, and put in their place, and face the judgment of a true, chosen servant-messenger of God.
Believe it or not, this is the judgment he has delivered before him, from behind the scenes and "hidden," according to prophecy. That's why he has been delivering the message anonymously under a pen name (Joseph J. Adamson - the J. is for James) since 1991, and has not caused his voice to be heard as an orator in public from behind a podium or pulpit. For it is the truth, and nothing but the truth, that shall set us free. And the truth lives on while the messenger withers and dies like a blade of grass.
He serves in the new name of the Christ in heaven, as was prophesied, but his given name is not important. And even though the title and name people use for him are different according to their religion, he is the awaited one, the expected one who is unexpected.
His judgment is especially necessary now because some of the worst offenders are the hypocrites who masquerade as religious and righteous servants of God when they actually serve Mammon and are driven by greed, self-righteousness, and self-interest.
This message submits that most religious people do not actually know God, the real Holy One. For while the Lord our God is very real, as Moses wrote the Lord God is not a man nor a son of man. God is eternal, infinite, omnipresent, indescribable, and beyond the intellectual comprehension of human beings.
However, even though we cannot fathom God, we can actually witness and experience God from within, and those who have witnessed and experienced God can say that God is the Great Spirit-Parent, which, like any good parent, loves all their children unconditionally (even when some of those children misbehave and need to be corrected).
Even though the ancient Mosaic or Sinai Covenant established the idea that God’s love is conditional, and that severe punishment is due for disobedience, there is now a modern New Covenant with God, as prophesied by Jeremiah, which clarifies divine intent and provides modern understanding of God’s will and of God's method of guidance and parenthood.
Now we can say that God is the Great Spirit-Parent because it avoids assigning gender, because as even Moses wrote, "God not a man, nor a son of man," which is why Jesus of Nazareth said to his disciples, "You have not heard God's voice or seen God's shape at any time," and "God is greater than I."
However, this message is not merely Judeo-Christian. It is inclusive and compatible with all faiths, including Islam. That is why we can say that God is the eternal, infinite, omnipresent Divine Light-Energy-Source of our existence, the Supreme Consciousness, the Essence of all life and form, and the unspeakable primordial "Word" that is made flesh in all of us.
God is not, however, a Superman-Magician who can wave a magic wand to make everything happen, for if that were true and possible, God would have surely put an end to conflict and war and established harmony and lasting peace in the world by now.
God can work only through the thoughts, words and actions of those who become open and selfless, who are motivated by universal love and serve the familial Spirit of universal truth, which is beneficial to all.
God is a creative energy and consciousness, but the process of creation is a process of creative evolution, of life and death, of coming into physical existence and going away or dissolving, and it's an ongoing process and cycle of life and renewal.
Only the real truth will set us free of the bondage to war that we are in.
Only when peacemakers are more effective than those who believe peace can be "won" by waging war, and only when the proud and militant are faced with the real truth about how and why the humble, gentle and meek shall inherit the earth, will we have peace.
We are in conflict, divided and at war because we have not yet learned to share the power, the wealth, the bounty of the earth, and the divine inheritance and birthright which we all should be able to enjoy.
A large part of the reason so many of us are not able to enjoy it is because some people value personal power, wealth and domain above all. They want it for themselves and are willing to fight for it, and they do not care much for "ordinary" or "common" people because they do not realize what is truly valuable – what is necessary for the entire human race to survive, flourish, and live in harmony and peace.
That is why human spiritual values need to be taught. For we all should realize that a house divided against itself cannot stand, and the same is true for a person or a neighborhood, city, state, nation, and world. And we should realize that we are divided and our governments are falling because we do not use the common wealth for the common good.
Instead, we follow traditions of climbing the ladder to success, and of fighting for power over each other, and we think the bottom line is about money, who "deserves" it, and who gets most of it. And we, as individuals and as a people, tend to be of two minds, and we are divided by conflicts that seem to be beyond our ability to resolve.
At the political level we are divided and in conflict mostly because some people feel superior and entitled to rule, whether it’s because of their wealth or whether it's in the name of their religion, or their nation or partisan political party or race or culture. They think theirs is superior and entitles them to rule.
Unfortunately, as long as they continue to do so we will not have equal rights, real liberty, true justice, or lasting peace in the world.
That is why Americans need to realize why America is sharply divided by those who feel entitled to rule, because while many Americans have done much good, some have done much bad by masquerading as good. But, the nation can become a truly good example to the world, and fulfill its destiny.
One obstacle is that many Americans cling to an illusion of superiority and power, which has been the cause of hegemony. However, all the monetary and military power in the world cannot provide the victory that is needed in the world.
That victory, when it comes, will win the hearts and minds of the people of all nations. It will be won because the people finally understand what their religions are supposed to do, which is produce peace and unite humanity rather than divide it and produce conflict and war. It will be won because the people finally understand that good government must promote the general welfare and ensure domestic tranquility and justice for all the people.
America can have a good government that ensures truly equal rights, real liberty, actual religious freedom, equity, fairness and justice. And America can have a government that not only promotes the general welfare, but also uses the common wealth for the common good, as it should.
However, since America does not do any of that because so much of America's leadership in both the private and public sectors is greedy and corrupt, we will have good government only when we, the people, finally establish government that is actually of, by, and for the people, rather than of, by and for the wealthiest few.
Furthermore, we will have good government only when it fully recognizes that all people are created equal, regardless of race, religion, culture, or original nationality. For we are all children of God.
The forces of greed and self-interest do not realize or acknowledge such truths, because Reaganism and its "Gospel of Prosperity" justified them by reviving the old Hamiltonian idea of “Federalism” and “Christian Meritocracy.” It gave them reason to think the wealthy are entitled to rule as long as they profess to be Christians. That is why they rationalize and justify themselves even to the point of acting righteous.
Thank goodness, as the U.S. Declaration of Independence and Article 5 of the Constitution state, we have the right, the duty and the means to alter and reform our government when it does not serve in our best interests. And, since it clearly does not, we need to do so.
However, even though we must speak truth to power and stand up for and demand equal rights and equal opportunities, we must do it peacefully, and in the spirit of good will.
If we do that, we can have faith that the real truth will ultimately prevail over the falsehoods that divided us. Love will ultimately overcome hate, and good will ultimately overcome the evil that divides and polarizes us as it masquerades as good.
Furthermore, no matter what your religion is, and whether you are "religious" or not, you can have faith that the loving, generous, humble, kind, gentle, peaceful majority of the people will inherit the earth -- at long last.
Fortunately, that inevitable outcome is drawing ever nearer, because more and more people are finally recognizing and acknowledging the crucial message from the Spirit of truth which has come at the end of the passing age, as all genuine prophets foresaw and foretold.
However, the principal messenger for the Spirit of truth has been dismissed and rejected just as the prophets Isaiah and Jesus of Nazareth predicted. Several other articles explain why that is, but perhaps the main reason is that he is not what anyone expected. Furthermore, the real truth is not welcomed by the wealthy and powerful few, nor by authorities in organized religion and government. And, even though the most significant and revolutionary truths are usually told when religion, government and commercial interests have failed the great majority of the people, the guilty parties do not want to face the truth. In fact, they call it a lie.
But, don’t lose hope. Even though the needed truth and judgment is not yet welcomed or recognized or acknowledged by enough people, it is here, and the end of this terrible tribulation is coming. It has continued and gotten worse largely because many people are still misled and the truth has been rejected. While the messenger must wait, “be hidden” and “not make haste,” as the prophet Isaiah wrote, those who are self-important and self-righteous fight to maintain or win power, more and more of us are suffering because of it.
The Meek Shall Inherit the Earth
Many prophets of the world's religions foresaw and foretold what would be happening as we neared the end of the age. But what most people do not know is that we can now change it. Man's vain folly, greed, carelessness and mendacity has caused our problems and troubles, and we can change that.
God the Great Spirit-Parent wants to save the world, but God can save the world only through us, by helping us to see why we must stop fighting each other and instead learn how and why we should love one another, cooperate and collaborate with one another, and use the common wealth for the common good.
We need to see that what we experience are the natural karmic consequences of what we think, say and do, and what we have though, said and done. We also suffer from the consequences of the hate, greed, corruption, wrongdoing, carelessness, foolishness and mistakes of human beings — and from the consequences of how we have damaged and polluted the Earth.
This world and all life on this planet are one interdependent ecosystem. When significant parts of it are badly damaged or in disharmony or out of balance, or there is widespread human pain, grief and suffering, it causes many different kinds of harmful effects on, around and within this planet. It is as if our whole world is like us, and when our body, mind and spirit-soul are not in harmony and well, we are troubled and suffer in certain ways. Consequently, Mother Earth suffers, and most of the body of humanity suffers.
However, this tribulation and madness need not continue because it was caused by Man, not God. And there is good reason to have hope and muster up your courage, because we can and will be liberated. We can and will correct and cure what ails and plagues us, and we can and will get through this. In fact, we will make the world anew, which is our destiny -- and that is God's will.
You see, the Spirit of truth is in the air and is growing stronger, despite all the misguided, misleading and even deceptive efforts to kill it by those who know not what they do. Unfortunately, many people still listen to and follow those who are loud and aggressive and proud and militant, who seek power by exalting themselves and appealing to the group ego and to emotions, prejudices, and fears — which is why we are so divided and pitted against each other.
That is why it seems as if the Spirit of truth may lose once again to the deceptive forces of greed and self-interest, and it may seem like a pipe dream to think otherwise. But it is not. The Spirit of truth will prevail.
Granted, it is difficult for most of us to keep our spirits up when growing numbers of us suffer from so many terrible things. Many people of conscience and empathy find it impossible to ignore all the greed, corruption, hypocrisy, bigotry, deception, conflict, division, trouble and violence in our country and around the world. It has a horrible impact on most of us, not only on our financial status, but also on our minds, hearts, and souls.
However, as soon as enough people get the message, we will be on our way toward a brighter future. We will understand the past and see how and why our present problems manifested, because even though in certain ways humanity has evolved beautifully, especially in the arts and sciences and other pursuits of happiness, we have unfortunately been pushed way backwards in certain ways, especially regarding erroneous superstitious religious beliefs and the inequitable partisan political economic system.
The reason we have been pushed backward is because many people have simply ignored the lessons of history and indulged in some very egocentric ideas designed to justify the wealthiest few on "religious" grounds. That is why so many have been led to believe that they should rule by "Divine Right," that wealth is a reward from God to those who deserve to rule, and that the poor deserve their lot because they are merely lazy and don’t have any faith. That’s an age-old rationale used by the rich to justify themselves.
That is a scam, of course, and it is one of the biggest reasons the rich have been getting incredibly richer while everyone else has become far worse off financially, and that’s one of the reasons there is so much conflict and division, and even violence, death and destruction in the world.
The conflict is about material things -- money, political power, land, territory, domain, natural resources, food and water -- because while some people want it own, control and sell things for a huge profit, others want to see the earth's bounty shared equitably and fairly. And because people fight over such things we have increasingly been suffering from many terrible things in this long and terrible tribulation, which has been steadily increasing --- especially during the last hundred years as we’ve been coming ever nearer to the end of the age.
Even so, you can be assured that if the hypocrites who masquerade as good do not completely expose themselves with their greedy, deceptive, malicious ways, they will be exposed by the Spirit of truth. For even though we who truly serve that Spirit are meek and turn the other cheek, we can still tell the truth.
It's Not the End of the World
It really is not the end of the world. The tribulation and terrible things humanity has been going through, which have increased during the last hundred years, are like the gradually quickening labor pains prior to the birth of something very new into this world. And, even though some things will end so new and better things may begin, the so-called "apocalyptic end times" idea is a myth.
That myth has nothing to do with what Jesus of Nazareth actually said, because he said prophecy would be fulfilled at the end of the age (aeon) he ushered in. But the myth of the end of the world, like the threat of being damned to hell, was designed to scare people into obedience to the Patriarchal Church.
That myth is part of the misleading and erroneous doctrine of preeminence and superiority that was firmly entrenched in the fourth century when it established a military imperialist theocracy that claimed to be Christian even though it wasn't. That's why it plunged Europe into what is called the Dark Ages and caused the cruel Inquisition, the bloody Crusades, and all the following military industrial imperialism, colonialism, and genocide of native indigenous peoples of the world -- all under the guise of "saving souls" and "spreading the Word of God."
That happened because the myths and erroneous doctrines established during the first four centuries after Jesus of Nazareth died survived the Protestant Reformation, and the doctrines justified many "Christian" military empires, including the American empire.
That is why during the last 30 years certain right-wing Christian zealots in America have been very aggressively reviving it and trying to impose it, as their right-wing counterparts had done many times before in America (particularly in 1800 as they fought against Thomas Jefferson, in 1823 as they justified westward expansion by claiming Native Americans had no rights to land, and in 1898 when the U.S. Government became a military industrial empire just like the preceding European empires).
Granted, most Christians see past the false doctrines and realize the true intent and meaning of the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth. But, unfortunately, erroneous doctrines are still being pushed by a loud minority of sanctimonious, proud, militant, power-hungry, aggressive people who claim and even boast that they are Christians, who use such doctrines to justify their theocratic words and actions. So, it is time they be faced with the truth.
The Real Meaning of Apocalypse
To understand the truth about prophecy we need to know that the Greek word "Apocalypse" actually means to "uncover, reveal, or unveil" the truth that has been ignored, forgotten, misinterpreted and misunderstood, and the phrase apokalupsis eschaton literally means "revelation at the end of the aeon, or age."
That is what Jesus foresaw and foretold. And while symbolic prophecies depict even more dramatic and dire events, literal real prophecies foretell the actual truth.
Jesus knew and said that the proud and militant hypocrites who divide humanity would be judged, exposed and rebuked like this, and the humble, gentle, peaceful and "meek" majority of us shall unite and inherit this earth, save it, and vastly improve it. And the modern son of man was sent to tell you why, and how.
The modern son of man is not what anyone expected, however, because he rejects a worldly throne as Jesus of Nazareth did, and he bows to the Holy One in heaven. But, he does assert his prophetic prerogative and states his prophesied mission, which is part of the reason he is rejected by his generation.
That was to be expected, and it was prophesied. After all, most people think it rather audacious (if not arrogant or even delusional) for a man to assert that he fulfills prophecies and knows the divinely inspired truth that most of humanity is waiting for. And, to make matters worse for the son of man who does know, there are many different expectations regarding a Mashiach, Messiah, Avatar, Buddha, Saoshyant, Mahdi, etc.
However, those expectations are based on misinformation, inaccurate man-made doctrines and interpretations, and myths. Therefore, the man who fulfills real prophecies does not meet such expectations, nor does he claim any of those titles.
He merely says "I am what I am," a son of man, of your brethren, from your midst, and only too human. He is even contrite of spirit, having faced his mistakes and failures and realized his own vain folly. Nevertheless, he bears witness to the Divine Light of God, having been carried away in spirit to that high and holy place where God inhabits eternity, where God's Book of Life was opened to him.
That’s why the modern son of man now prays: "Dear God in heaven, bless the whole world and every person, every religion, every nation, every race, and every culture, and let no one keep clinging to the misguided notion that theirs is superior to all others."
Many people do not yet feel that blessing, or understand it. But the modern son of man was sent to issue judgment, tell you the truth, and show you things to come, as Jesus promised.
It has fallen upon him to be the modern messenger for the Spirit of truth, by whatever name. And you can tell the message is the truth because it does not exalt the messenger. Messengers come and go, but the truth is eternal. And the truth will ultimately empower and liberate us all, for the sake of all humanity and the earth upon which we live.
The truth is about how and why we shall indeed overcome. But the truth is also about why the tribulation will not end until enough people in our country and world recognize and acknowledge certain crucial truths --- and then muster enough courage to stand up for the kind of changes that are really needed — to quell the unbridled greed and corruption, put an end to all the inequity and unfairness, make amends, reconcile the conflicts, mend the divisions, and resolve all the rest of the problems that plague us.
We can do that. But, we cannot do it with band-aid solutions that do not treat the underlying infection. It must be fully exposed by the light of truth, which will prevail over the dark, divisive and deceptive forces of greed and self-interest that masquerade as good (and may even think they are good).
Only then will be able to acknowledge and exercise our true power and rights, and bring about a peaceful, comprehensive reformation of both government and religion — particularly of Judaism, Christianity and Islam.
We first need to recall or realize the true purpose of our religions, and the true purpose of our governments — because they should not produce conflict and divide us, and they should not require us to choose sides and be pitted against each other. For divided we are falling, and only when we are united will we stand together in concert, and in harmony with ourselves and the earth.
We must have pluralism and equality of religions to have real religious freedom -- with a Jeffersonian "wall of separation" between religion and government. There can be no freedom of religion without it.
However, while government must respect all religions as equal to prevent theocratic imposition, government and religions should work in concert, albeit within their own perview, to unite us and produce harmony and peace – as they should.
When enough people realize, understand and acknowledge that, then we will be able to make the changes and reforms that will unite and empower us all; liberate us from the proud and militant partisans who have divided us; establish governments that are truly of, by, and for the people, and use the common wealth for the common good.
Only then will we have lasting peace and harmony, with freedom and justice for all.
That is the real truth, and a son of man must tell the truth, even if it means he must break tradition, dispel myths and refute the doctrines of men, and consequently be despised by certain people (most of whom benefit from a corrupt system and prefer the status quo).
Those called son of man have always refuted traditional religious and political beliefs when they have become corrupted. And those called son of man are always hated by wealthy and powerful people, because he is not what they expected, or what they want, because his role is to prune their ego, and expose their error.
He is not what anyone expected, because people have been conditioned to want a conquering hero to lead their political party or nation or race or religion or religious sect to victory over those they judge as enemies, and they have been listening to political and religious leaders who speak from behind podiums or pulpits promising such victory.
That is why people are divided into blind flocks and pitted against each other, misled into conflict, and even into carnal, deadly warfare.
The ultimate victory, however, will not be over "others." It will be over that which divides us, and it will come when we advance, evolve and progress forward by adopting a new way of choosing and establishing truly representative leadership and true democracy in governments that are truly of the people, by the people, and for the people.
Then, and only then, will it be a time for reconciliation, true peace-making, making amends, and establishing real justice and freedom. For then the vast majority of us will recognize the message from the Spirit of truth and realize there is a far better way than fighting for power over each other.
In the Meantime
Meanwhile, in these very difficult and hard times, and while we are waiting until enough people realize the truth, we need to try to keep in mind that for every dishonest and corrupt person, there are thousands of honest and good people, and that for every act of selfishness, carelessness, cruelty and violence, there are many thousands of acts of generosity, caring, kindness and love, and in many respects the world is getting better.
The world is not evil. Only a relatively few people have been corrupted, deluded, and infected with self-importance, self-righteousness and the egocentric sense that they are entitled to their self-indulgences even as other people suffer.
We need to keep in mind that most people are good even as we go through this horrible tribulation and ordeal, which was foreseen and predicted long ago by many wise seers who "saw" that we would be suffering from many terrible things — like wars, natural disasters, diseases, famines, floods, droughts, pestilence, poverty, hunger, homelessness, violence, and the economic financial disasters caused by unbridled greed and corruption.
Thank God, we, the people of earth, can and will put an end to most of the trouble, and we can and will save and greatly improve our world. We can and will make amends, mend divisions, make peace, turn "swords into plowshares," clean up and protect the environment, transform deserts into new gardens, and make this world what it really should be and is destined to be.
Just remember that King Solomon of ancient Israel, renowned for his great wisdom, said that pride goes before destruction and an arrogant spirit before a fall, and it is better to be of a humble spirit than to join the proud and militant in their aggressive and offensive pursuit of the "spoils" of war.
The prophet Jesus, a spiritually anointed christus and enlightened son of man, sacrificial lamb of God (and a great "bleeding heart" liberal progressive), agreed with that, and he added that we should love even our enemy. He also advised against retaliation, and against living by the sword, and he even declared that the meek are blessed and shall inherit the earth. Then, to top it off, he willingly martyred himself and sacrificed his life to set a good example and culminate his teachings regarding peace, love, tolerance, forgiveness, and pacifism. He was a true martyr.
Islam's founder, Mohammed, knew and respected the teachings of Jesus, and he stated that killing is always evil, and that indiscriminate killing is especially evil. Moreover, like Jesus, he advised against retaliation and against force or coercion in religious matters, and he commanded Muslims to "be very courteous to Jews and Christians because we all believe in the same God."
You see, the true purpose of all religions of the world is universal. That is clear if you consider and understand their core teachings. In fact, you will find that the golden rule is the Universal Divine Imperative: Treat others kindly and fairly, as you would want to be treated if you were them.
That has always been and always will be the essential, main rule and best advice, not only because it's the right thing to do, but also because we "reap what we sow" due to the karmic consequences of our words and actions.
That universal truth is foremost among the core teachings of most religions, including Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Zoroastrianism, Sikhism, Sufism, Taoism, Bahaism, and even Judaism. In fact, it is perfectly clear and obvious to all truly wise, understanding, fair, reasonable, compassionate, conscientious, charitable, loving, peaceful people of good will and real faith, regardless of which religion they follow.
Furthermore, most agnostics and atheists also understand it, because it is a universal scientific fact that every action tends to create a reciprocal reaction. And, as is often said, "What goes around, comes around."
That's why we should live by the universal divine imperative. It's not the easy way, of course, because our individual and group egotism tends to make us feel right and superior while we judge others as wrong and inferior, and it's very difficult to rise above that. But we must, because it's the correct way and the best way.
It is the truth, and nothing but the truth, that shall set us free. And our hero us us.
Consider this statement that Lao Tsu wrote in The Book of Tao (Dao): "When the best leader's work is accomplished, the people say, 'We did it ourselves!'"
That same idea was expressed in the Judaic "Old Testament" scriptures in the Bible, which advise us to: "Be wise and consider the ways of the ants, which having no guide, overseer or ruler, provide food in the summer and gather in the harvest."
Similarly, the Old Testament also says, "If you want a king, you reject God," for "God is not a man nor a son of man," and "besides God there is no Savior." It's true -- absolutely, positively true.
The truth is that only God is the Savior and that we are all equal joint heirs to the "kingdom" to come, wherein we shall all share the thrones of governments and religions that will be truly of, by and for the people, while only the Holy One in heaven reigns as the Savior, in Spirit. And God has chosen a witness and servant to fulfill prophecy.
However you perceive or conceive of Deity, there is but one Divine Holy One, which is God. Whatever you call it, and whether you regard it as one or many or all, it is still God. Every thing originated from and came out of the One, and every thing returns to the One that is God, the Source/Creator.
This is consistent with what Jesus said according to the ignored Gospel of Mary Magdalene, in which Jesus is quoted as saying that "All natures, all formed things, all creatures exist in and with one another and will again be resolved into their own roots, because the nature of matter is dissolved into the roots of its nature alone."
This is very similar to the Taoist concept of Oneness which states that "All things derive their life from it [Tao], All things return to it, and it contains them."
It is also why the great Meher Baba said: "There is no creature which is not destined for the supreme goal, as there is no river which is not winding its way toward the sea. But only in the human form can consciousness be so developed that it is capable of expressing the True Self, which is the Self of All."
However, the True Self is not our separate self-conscious ego. It’s our inner soul and spirit, which knows its Oneness with God and all humanity. That is why the current Dalai Lama has said, "The message we hear from all sources of truth is clear: We are all one. That is a message the human race has largely ignored. Forgetting this truth is the only cause of hatred and war."
The genius Albert Einstein agreed with that totally, as he despised war, and he also said: "A human being is a part of a whole, called by us 'universe', a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself as something separated from the rest... [but it's] a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness."
God is One, and we are One. And God is the omnipresent Supreme Consciousness. That's why the great Maharishi Mahesh Yogi taught that: "All life emerges from, and is sustained in, consciousness. The whole universe is the expression of consciousness. The reality of the universe is one unbounded ocean of consciousness in motion."
These are truths that many great and truly wise people have realized, but which totally escape those who are egocentric and only think they are wise.
The enlightened ones who founded the world's religions and spiritual teaching orders have already given us most of what we need, and humanity simply needs to be reminded of the eternal and universal truths they taught, given understanding of what they truly mean, and shown what is to come.
We can and will establish justice, fairness, peace and harmony. We can and will have religious equality and pluralism. And we can and will have truly representative government, rather than be divided and ruled by partisan pretenders to the throne.
The message from our Parent God and the Spirit of truth is meant not to condemn, but to educate; not to punish, but to correct; and not to destroy, but to save. It is designed to dispel myths, expose false beliefs, expose harmful, divisive leadership, and improve the human condition for all the people of the world, regardless of their religion, nationality, race, culture, or financial status, for we are all equal in the "sight" of God.
You can have faith that we shall overcome, because lasting freedom, as it turns out, is ours to achieve and establish peacefully, together. All we need is the wisdom to acknowledge the way to save and improve our world, and the courage and faith to make it so.
